The monograph is dedicated to functional renal reserve—an important measure of the kidneys' ability to adapt under stress. It examines the main mechanisms of renal reserve formation, assessment methods, and its role in diagnosing and predicting kidney diseases. Special attention is given to the significance of renal reserve in patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, and other comorbid conditions. This monograph will be useful for nephrologists, researchers, and medical students who aim to deepen their understanding of kidney function and optimize treatment for patients at risk of kidney failure
